Roles within the Knowledge Base

Contributors: can submit Articles/Posts for approval by an Editor. Are unable to make Pages. They are unable to make edits to their own Articles/Posts without an Editor turning the Article back to Pending. Are only able to edit other people’s Articles/Posts if an Editor making them owner.

Authors: can make and edit their own Articles and Posts without approval. Are unable to edit or approve other people’s Articles/Posts. Are unable to make pages.

Editors: can do everything a Contributor and Author can. Are also able to approve Posts/Articles of others. Can create and edit Pages. Have limited ability to change WordPress settings.

Administrators: can do everything an editor can. Also has ability to change website settings.
