This article introduces the different templates created for Inspera assessment. These templates will be visible only to Planners.
The assessment templates are created for the following reasons:
- Speed up the assessment creation process, allowing Planners to skip several steps without leaving out any property of an assessment. Without the template, Planners will have to go through over 20 different settings to set up the assessment workflow. By using the templates, Planners simply need to complete 6 key steps.
- Each template standardises the workflow for Planners. Using the templates, Planners complete the same key steps, from setting up to activating the assessment. Without the templates, the Planner may have to do a trial run so that all the settings are appropriate for the type of assessment, for invigilation and for the grading workflow (private or shared). These could then become reiterative and time consuming.
There are 8 core templates created for the University Group, aligned with the assessment categories approved. Details are provided in the table below to explain the assumptions underpinning why each template is set up as it is:
