Recently launched changes
Warning for unsaved grades and feedback
Feedback to Aula had highlighted that it was unclear that changes to feedback and grades needed to be saved when updates were made. A warning message will now appear when moving away from the page without saving. See https://portal.aula.education/c/70-warning-for-unsaved-grades-and-feedback-in-handin
Mobile accessibility updates
Enhancements have been made to navigation within the mobile app where using voice navigation. See https://portal.aula.education/c/69-mobile-accessibility-updates
Forthcoming changes
Changes that are forthcoming include:
- Pinning posts in the feed. This development will be a re-design of the existing ‘important posts’ feature but instead of being displayed in a separate location, will allow important posts to stay at the top of the feed for 48 hours. The three most recently pinned posts will always be displayed in a new right-hand side-bar in the Community feed. See- https://portal.aula.education/c/57-pin-that-post
- Managing the number of Educators in an Aula space. Currently Aula has two user categories, Educator and Student. This has resulted in a large number of staff, who need view only access to Aula spaces, being added as Educators. This change will provide a read only access solution for the majority of these users. See https://portal.aula.education/c/33-who-are-all-these-educators-in-my-space
- Update to Turnitin integration to allow class name to be shared. Transferring this detail will support investigation of academic integrity cases. See https://portal.aula.education/c/71-include-class-name-in-data-sent-to-turnitin-on-assignment-creation
